Creative Enterprise Mural Challenge

RIBBA’s Creative Enterprise Mural Challenge is a unique opportunity within the 2026 Young Adult Business Pitch Competition, designed to support young creative entrepreneurs while transforming the RIBBA Hub into a more welcoming and inspiring space for youth, entrepreneurs, and community members.

This is not an art contest—it’s a paid entrepreneurial opportunity that awards a real-world contract to a young creative business owner or aspiring entrepreneur.

RIBBA presents the Creative Enterprise Mural ChallengeEligibility:

  • Rhode Island residents
  • Ages 18–30
  • Individual artists, designers, muralists, creative entrepreneurs, or creative teams
  • Must become a RIBBA client by completing an intake form
    (A member of the RIBBA team will be in touch to schedule an initial intake meeting after the form is completed)

Application Deadline: Saturday, July 18th

Project Details

The selected artist will be commissioned to create:

  • Exterior Mural
    • Approx. 29’7″ wide x 6′ high
    • Located on a rear-facing wall adjacent to the RIBBA property (final location subject to approval)
    • Designed to serve as a welcoming backdrop for youth programming, community gatherings, and entrepreneurship initiatives
  • Interior Feature Wall
    • Located inside the RIBBA Hub
    • Designed to inspire entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and opportunity

Commission Opportunity

  • $5,000 Commission Award
  • Includes artist compensation, project management, and materials
  • Awarded through a formal project agreement with RIBBA
  • Final design and implementation plan must be approved prior to installation
