The founders of MAAT Future, originally drawn to the real estate market with aspirations of financial opportunity, soon recognized a deeper purpose: providing safe, quality housing for working families. After renting out their first multifamily home, they witnessed the transformative power a welcoming, quality space can have on the lives of those living in it. This realization ignited their passion for change.
Inspired by the impact they could make, they set out to expand their vision. They began offering comprehensive services that included renovations, consulting, and innovative housing solutions—all aimed at enhancing the communities they touched and giving families a nurturing environment to thrive. In those early days, fueled by a relentless passion for improvement, they poured their hearts into every renovation, from installing exquisite flooring and painting vibrant walls to updating crucial plumbing systems. Yet one project remained etched in their hearts: a post-COVID rehabilitation that became a sanctuary for a resilient single mother and her young daughter.
The challenges were many, but their commitment never wavered. On move-in day, they witnessed incredible joy and heartfelt gratitude reflected in the eyes of the new tenants. It was in that moment that they were reminded of their purpose—to create homes, nurture families, and foster hope. This was why they do what they do.
Their journey took on new momentum with invaluable support from RIBBA. The assistance received in launching a new website helped them establish a strong, recognizable brand. With M/WBE certification in hand, doors swung open to new contracts and projects that were previously out of reach. RIBBA also guided them in securing their General Contractor license, set to launch in April 2025, coinciding perfectly with their first major project just days later.
As they look ahead, their aspirations are high. With RIBBA’s continued mentorship, they aim to land more contracts, secure necessary funding, and cultivate their reputation as a trusted Minority General Contracting Company serving the Providence community. Their dream is clear: to keep building—not just homes, but businesses and opportunities that lay a strong foundation for the future.
