About the Program

Introducing the Skill-Up Program in Pawtucket — a free, 7-session cohort-based workforce training designed to empower residents with job readiness skills and job opportunities.

The Skill-Up Program is a no-cost, 7-session cohort-based workforce training initiative for residents of Pawtucket, RI. Designed to help individuals develop the skills they need to secure entry-level jobs and gain meaningful employment, the program offers comprehensive training in job readiness. Participants receive personalized coaching, resume building, interview preparation, and job placement support to set them on a path to financial stability and career success.

Building on this foundation, the program has solidified its role as one of the highest-performing workforce intermediaries in Rhode Island. It develops customized talent solutions that bridge the divide between Rhode Islanders seeking opportunity and employers seeking talent. The program runs year-round, jobs-driven training models that leverage the hiring power of our area’s major employers while cultivating local talent.

Additionally, this program supports Rhode Island’s efforts to address the workforce shortage by connecting local employers with qualified candidates. Participants receive hands-on training in both hard and soft skills, including:

In-person training in a supportive, cohort-based environment
