Chair Donna Sams, Private Consultant & former CVS Executive for its upcoming Annual Awards Gala, themed “Championing Equity: Building Wealth and Bridging Gaps”. This grand event will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, Rhode Island on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 6PM – 11PM.
Donna Sams is a highly respected leader with over twenty-five years of organizational development, change, and operations management experience. Donna has worked across various industries, including healthcare, retail, high technology/information management, and the public sector. She spent 15+ years as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Information Technology in two Fortune 20 companies, where she successfully led the turnaround of several major technology projects and organizations.
Since retiring from corporate executive roles, Donna has focused on consulting in organizational leadership, team development, and executive coaching. She is a sought-after speaker at conferences and has served as a member of the Rhode Island Commerce Board for nearly a decade. Additionally, Donna has played key roles on boards dedicated to social justice and closing the opportunity gap, including Sophia Academy and Year Up. She has been recognized with awards for her efforts in promoting women in technology.
The Annual Awards Gala is RIBBA’s signature fundraising event, attracting over 500 guests from across the state, including business owners, corporate leaders, professionals, state and local representatives, and other stakeholders. This event supports the organization’s incredible work and recognizes individuals for their commitment to leadership, professional achievement, and community service.
